For audience-overhead loads or rigged truss, yes — ETCP is required by best practice. We supply ours as part of the install scope. Dry-hire to production companies with their own ETCP rigger doesn't require ours.

½-ton handles small truss spans, single moving heads, moderate lighting fixtures. 1-ton handles heavier rigs — large truss arrays, multi-point pickups, LED walls. Most event work uses ½-tons; concerts and large corporate shows use 1-tons. We'll spec for you.
